I’ve got some arm strength now that I’ve been training with the sword again. It might not be pretty tonight, but I have to give this body more patience than I did with the old one.

It is good that Wei Ying has warmed to it. Mo Xuanyu made honest gift.

He was manipulated into giving it. The least I can do is be grateful for it.

It helps that my husband finds it satisfactory.

Would have yet loved Wei Ying as a worm.

I’ll never get my old body back and I think I finally accept that. Hell, this face is so familiar to me now that it doesn’t make me feel weird being in front of a mirror anymore. It’s the face I think of when I think of my own face now.

If you were a woman, you would have born me sons. An elder man, you would have given me pleasures of wisdom and hard bedding.

A young, handsome man pleases best. But all shapes would have suited.

I think I would have worked on building a new body if I were resurrected in either of those. I wouldn’t want to live forever as a woman or an elder.

Is that too much vanity?

Is it bad that I’m, in some ways, grateful to the Oriole for choosing a good body? Mo Xuanyu deserved better and I’m proof that he could have had better.

That’s true. The only thing I know about him is that he was desperate enough to destroy his own soul for revenge. And from the general reactions I got from his family and the Jin cultivators, he was fairly eccentric.

I guess I’ve been thinking about it and even though he doesn’t exist in any meaningful way anymore… maybe I should try to thank him in some way. I know it won’t make a difference to him. Maybe it’s just to make myself feel better.

Surprised Wei Ying has not tired of children.

A-Liang has been quiet most of the day. He’s only had a fit a couple of times. The first time he needed changing and the second time was because I was late giving him his numbing ointment.

Sizhui and Jingyi pretty much take care of themselves.

Don’t worry, Lan Zhan. It’ll take more than spending half a day with them for me to get frustrated. If Liang were more fussy today, that would make things different.
